I am a 6’2”, 195 lb, Senior, catcher from Calhoun, GA. As shown in image below, I have the nation's #1 pop-time for all catchers in the 2017 class at 1.78 ( Perfect Game ).

The screen shot below is from Perfect Game website and depicts
records for all of the Perfect Game East showcases, specifically, look at the pop-times.

My times are consistently around the low 1.8’s - timed by many that are paid to coach or scout baseball for a living. The video below is a link to the Perfect Game WWBA word championship highlights. A pop of 1.81 can be seen around the 1:20 mark. This is not my best obviously, a lot of things have to be lined up right to be able to get your best at anything, and this is never more evident than with a good throw to second. The second video below shows highlights of a trip to Montgomery, AL in October of 2015. Tyler Courson (Associate Scout for the Milwaukee Brewers) timed one of my better pops at 1.76 sec.
I take pride and make every possible effort to keep everything "in front". It is the catchers job to help his pitchers feel comfortable throwing any pitch in any situation...
What about a bases loaded curveball in the dirt on a 2-2 count? - No problem! Throw it for a swinging strike three, block it up and take care of the out at home.
This play is actually one of my favorite plays in baseball, and its always enjoyable to watch a catcher call for the low off speed pitch knowing that he will protect his
team and pitcher by doing what he is SUPPOSED to!
